Amazon Starts Early Black Friday 2011 Deals

Even as people are scarfing down the last of their Halloween candy, merchants are pushing forward to the Christmas shopping season.

One online retailer – Amazon.com – isn’t waiting until Black Friday to start laying on the deals.

It has opened what it calls a Black Friday Deals store – one that will feature discounts of hundreds of gift items, such as cameras, video games, movies, tools, and what not.

The deals are available from now until the day after Thanksgiving – the real Black Friday.

Everybody loves getting a good deal. So by extension, everybody must also love Black Friday, the wonderful day after Thanksgiving when you can shake off your Turkey-coma, get away from the family and shop your brains out on heavy discounts.

Amazon has offered a way to start buying even sooner, with the official launch of a Black Friday storefront where it’ll be counting down to the big day with a week of even more deals.

“Lightning Deals” throughout the day will offer discounts on products such as a Calvin Klein coat for men, a 32 GB memory card and a mystery camera case. These deals will be revealed sporadically throughout the day, encouraging users to check back often to make sure they don’t miss a steal.

Of course, these date-sensitive deals complement discounts across Amazon’s entire catalog with new items added every day. And if you want Amazon to send you discounts as well, you can sign up for a daily deals email — which launched as a competitor to Groupon — or download Amazon’s iPhone deals app to stay on top of your Black Friday game.
